Jet Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Cockpit Window
An aircraft ferrying Pete Hegseth was required to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the plane's windshield, according to an announcement which confirmed that Hegseth was safe.
"The jet touched down in accordance with standard procedures and all passengers, such as Defense Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," an official representative commented in a social media post.
He was traveling back from a short visit to Brussels at the time.
This event is not the first time that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a high-ranking official has experienced equipment failures.
In a previous incident this year, a US Air Force plane transporting the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was required to return to the US capital after suffering a technical issue.
