Suspected Stalker Questioned: 'However Suppose I Could Be Madeleine?'
A individual indicted with harassing Kate McCann reportedly deposited her a voicemail message which asked: "what if I am Madeleine?"
Julia Wandelt, 24, who witnesses stated has repeatedly claimed she was the missing Madeleine McCann, and Karen Spragg are facing charges charged with harassing Kate and Gerry McCann between June 2022 and February 2025.
On Monday, Leicester Crown Court was told phone records and evidence recovered from phones recorded Ms Wandelt consistently demanding Madeleine's mother for a genetic test over that period.
Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - when she was three years old during a family holiday in Portugal - is considered the most covered investigations and remains open.
'I Am Not Seeking Money'
Another voicemail, shared in court, captured Ms Wandelt saying: "I know I'm heavy and plain like Madeleine had been, but I know what I know."
While another instance of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's answerphone stated: "Imagine there is a small chance that I'm her? What then? Wouldn't that be important for you?"
"I am not seeking money, I have a existence here in Poland, I just want to discover," she added.
The tribunal was told that by means of emails, text messages and communications, Ms Wandelt asked for a genetic test, transmitted early photographs to her phone in a effort to demonstrate a likeness to Mrs McCann's disappeared daughter, and asserted to have "recollections" from a youth with the McCanns.
Robert Jones, a data specialist with law enforcement who compiled the information, advised the court there "didn't appear to be any responses" from Mrs McCann.
Ms Wandelt additionally reached out to close associates of the McCanns, based on the phone records.
On that date, Mr McCann picked up a phone call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, stating she had "incorrect contact information."

The court was informed the co-defendant established a relationship through digital means with Ms Wandelt prior to assisting her on a trip to the McCanns' residence in Leicestershire in last December.
Call logs demonstrated Mrs Spragg had reached out through WhatsApp to Mrs McCann to express the media had portrayed Ms Wandelt as "a crazy person" but that she deserved to be taken seriously in the period before the visit to that location, the county, in December 2024.
The court was told communications between the two defendants, in last November, discussing trying to get Mrs McCann's biological evidence from her garbage or from utensils at a dining venue.
"We must make a stand," the co-defendant advised Ms Wandelt.
On the evening of the trip to their residence, the defendant sent a text which said: "We're currently sat near the McCanns' house with our headlights off resembling private investigators. I wanted to achieve this with another person I hadn't anticipated I would be engaged in this with the McCanns."
