This young athlete maintains substantial online audience
The young golfer can count on numerous high-profile cheerleaders as she starts her professional golf debut on Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who is connected to Donald Trump, received a tournament invitation to compete at the Annika tournament in Florida.
The former president, someone who loves golf, owns numerous courses worldwide and regularly competes against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I can't reveal details but we have tight competitions," she mentioned.
Kai explained that her grandfather, unable to come, advised her: "Just don't get nervous."
"My grandpa essentially suggested to play and relax," she added.
"In my eyes, he's simply an ordinary family member. He can't make it this weekend. He's occupied with running the country, making him rather occupied."
As an amateur, Kai has participated in just three tournaments in 2024 and holds ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association listings.
But she can receive tips from Tiger Woods, who is dating her mother.
"He stands as the best player in the world," Kai expressed.
"Additionally, he's a more impressive person. He told me to play, enjoy myself, and go with whatever happens."
Kai will face some of most prominent players in the sport at the Annika, such as world number two Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
Officials stated that Kai's presence helps introduce the sport to new audiences, specifically reaching the next generation.
The young star boasts substantial online presence and recently launched a personal clothing and lifestyle label.
The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
